Early spring migrations of birds is observed around the world. The robin is usually what one thinks of as the harbinger of spring and warm weather. Orioles, fly catchers and buntings are ones of bright colors and not easily tempted to stick around.

Is your cat stressed out by loud noises? New additions to the family? moving? There’s help available. There’s a pheromone solution available to help. When cats are happy they rub their face on their ‘safe’ places. There’s a little gland along their jaw that releases a facial pheromone.
First determine if your cat is stressed. Common signs and symptoms of stress in cats include:
- urine spraying
- vertical scratching
- appearing withdrawn
- over or under grooming
- tension between cats
- excess vocalizations
- anorexia or obesity
The garden broom is an awesome tool. It’s a cross between a broom and a rake. Just looking at makes you think of decor, Halloween and witches! It’s 100% environmentally friendly.
The tines are made from branches of the coconut tree and tied together by coir which is part of the coconut husk.
It’s extremely sturdy and works great. I tried it raking leaves and debris in the grass and it worked better than a rake.
We get a lot tumbleweeds here in the high desert and the little thorns go everywhere when the wind blows. The pets get the worst of it, always having to pick them out of their paws. This broom is great for sweeping them off the trail.
I was having so much fun sweeping, I couldn’t resist doodling in the sand with it! A little Zen moment.
This would make an awesome home warming gift! If you want to get one, here’s the webpage: http://mayoddsandends.com/gardenbroom
I received a free product in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
The absolute best fish is freshly caught, especially if the water is nice and cold. Nothing beats the fun and excitement of reeling your dinner in! The fish in the picture are hatchery raised. A lot of places are stocked with the fisherman in mind. They still have all the fun and excitement of ‘wild’ fish without the guilt.
Did you ever want to try fly fishing? It’s so exciting and fun to learn. Small stocked lakes are a great place to learn. It’s a lot easier than a stream or river because there are less overhead trees and branches to get caught on !
Fire up the grill, add mesquite chips or wood for an incredible flavor. If you are cooking indoors liquid smoke lightly sprinkled on the fish while frying in butter will give it that cooked on the grill flavor. Lightly season with salt and pepper and cook on non-stick foil until it becomes flaky.
Serve with a slice of lemon or lemon juice to give a little zing.
To celebrate launching my blog I’m giving away a $5 Amazon gift card! Just follow the instructions on the giveaway tool.
